How to transfer contacts from Android to iPhone?
- Using Move to iOS app
Go to Google Play Store and download the Move to iOS appInstall and open the app and then click on Continue.Read the Terms and Conditions and then click on Agree.You will then be asked for permission for SMS, access to contacts, location permission, and calendar storage. Allow the app to access them all.Next, go to the ‘Find Your Code’ screen and click on Continue. Enter a code.Now, check your iPhone. During the set-up process, you will see a Move Data from Android option. Click it.You should get a six-digit or ten-digit code. Enter the code into your Android device.You will now see a Transfer Data screen asking you to select the content you want to move. Select Contacts and other data you wish to transfer and then click on Next.Next, leave both the devices idle until the loading bar on the iPhone finishes.Once the loading process is complete, you can tap on Done on the Android device and Continue on the iPhone to complete the setup process.
- Using Google Account
Firstly, make sure you have an active internet connection. Sync your contacts with your Google account. To do so, go to Settings on your Android phone.Next, go to Accounts and tap on your Google account.
Next, click on Account sync. Now either tap on the three dots menu to sync everything or switch off the Contacts toggle. Switch it on again to sync only the contactsOpen Settings on your iPhoneClick on Mail and then on AccountsNext, click on Add Account and enter the same Google account as your Android phone. Switch the Contacts toggle to ON.Now, you should be able to see your Android contacts on the iPhone
- Using SIM Card
Open the Contacts app on your Android phone and tap on the three dots menu or the gear iconIf you’re using a dual-SIM phone, select the SIM card you want to use in your iPhone else tap on the ‘SIM card contacts’Next, click on the three dots menu and then on ‘import from the phone’Now you will be asked to choose the contacts you want to transfer to the phone. If you want all the contacts, ‘select all’ option else select them individually to transfer the contacts, and then tap on DoneOnce the process completes, you can remove the SIM card and insert it into your iPhoneNext, go to Settings on your iPhone and click on Contacts
Click on ‘Import SIM contacts’Once the process completes, you will see the contacts on your iPhone
- Using the VCF file method
Open the Contacts app on your Android phoneNext, click on the ‘gear icon’ or the three dots menu and choose the ‘import-export’ optionYou will see two options, click on Export to .vcf file. The options may vary from one Android phone to anotherA VCF file of your contacts will be created in your phone’s storageUsing iTunes, you can send this file to your iPhone. You may also mail it to yourself and then download it on your iPhoneWhen you open the VCF file, you will see the option ‘Add all contacts’. Click on itYou will now see all the contacts on your iPhone.
