1000 users take .bharat domains in 3 days NIXI offered the .bharat domain to around 1000 people at the 3-day 10th World Hindi Sammelan. The event was inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As this is a comparatively new domain, users were also guided on using Devnagiri on their site. They were also told how to open a site in PUNICODE and UNICODE. Though the domain focuses on regional languages, it is not restricted to users within the country. Indians settled abroad can open a .bharat domain as well. NIXI has played an effective role in promoting Indian languages online since 2003. Their plan to introduce the .bharat domain in regional languages is expected to be a great achievement for the organization as well as for the country.
