Emerge is the latest Bang and Olufsen speaker wears a book-inspired design that merges with books on your bookshelf. the company says its design of the latest connected speaker is “inspired by the compact form factor of a book” with side panels that Also the logo on the front is placed in a way to evoke a title printed on the spine.

Unlike the other Bang and Olufsen Speaker, Emerge’s design has been inspired from IKEA’s Symphonisk speakers, which also double up as lamps or shelving and blend perfectly well with other furniture in the house. Emerge has one 4-inch woofer, one 1.45-inch mid-range driver, and one 0.6-inch tweeter. The ultra-thin speaker will blend into a book cabinet and will offer “full-range, ultra-wide sound.” The woofer delivers 60W output, the mid-range driver delivers 30W, and the tweeter delivers another 30W. the book=like speaker comes with a frequency response range of 45 to 22,000Hz. It also has customisable sound EQs that can be easily adjusted with the Bang & Olufsen app. The Emerge Bang and Olufsen speaker comes with Spotify Connect support, Airplay 2, Bluetooth 5.0, and Chromecast streaming. It also sports a built-in microphone with Google Assistant support. The latest B&O speaker can also be effectively paired with your stereo and comes with a line-in / optical jack, Ethernet, and a USB-C port for power.

Bang and Olufsen Speaker is currently priced at EUR 669, which is Rs. 59,700 approximately. The Emerge speaker is currently available in two colours – Black Anthracite and Gold Tone/ Light Oak. It is currently available in Europe but is expected to make a global entry in October this year.
