The Stadia Founder’s Edition which included a Stadia controller, a Chromecast Ultra, three months of Stadia Pro, and a Buddy Pass has already been sold out. Many left out customers had to settle for the Premium Edition without a Buddy Pass to get their hands on the Stadia controller at the earliest occasion.
Despite pre-orders, you
may not get to play on Tuesday
However, Google had revealed earlier this month that not all pre-orders will be delivered on Tuesday. It has said that orders will be dispatched in the same order as they were placed. It added that the first shipments will dispatch on November 18 itself to ensure delivery on the launch date. But, only a bunch of initial buyers will get to play on the Google Stadia at the time of launch. In the meantime, we have gathered all the information that you ought to know ahead of launch.
Expect a rocky start
If you have some really high expectations from your Stadia experience, you may want to step back and prepare yourself for a rocky start. Google’s main selling point has been that it will offer AAA quality video games on various screens including TVs, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. But, users will need a Chromecast Ultra to play Stadia on their TV sets. In the case of smartphones, Stadia service will only be available on certain Pixel phones including Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3a, and Pixel 3a XL. Although the company has shared plans to expand its game streaming service to other devices, its decision to limit Stadia to Pixel phones has still been somewhat disappointing for the users.
But, there’s some good news on the list of available games
Google had promised to offer a vast library of free games with its $10 monthly subscription. However, it had announced that only 12 games will be available at the time of launch and other games will be added to the cloud later. But, in a recent update, the popular tech giant shared an updated list of games which will available on the day of launch. Now, a total of 22 games will be available on its game streaming platform on Tuesday.

Other games that will soon be made available on the platform in 2019 include Borderlands 3, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, and Darksiders Genesis. According to the latest update, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint which was previously scheduled for 2020, will now be made available by the end of 2019 itself. Moreover, players can expect to play Doom: Eternal, Watch Dogs: Legion, Gods & Monsters, and Cyberpunk 2077 on Google Stadia in 2020.
